Africa Photography Tour

Jambo, and welcome to magical Kenya. Without question, I consider Kenya to be the premier wildlife destination in the world. Looking for an Africa safari geared 100% for wildlife photography? This is your safari! The wildlife spectacle is simply astounding. Our tour includes three of the most exciting and productive photo locations Kenya has to offer: Our first shoot begins in Samburu Game Reserve, located in the northern arid savannah of Kenya. Samburu is famous for grasslands, picturesque red colored rolling hills, red elephants, and rare wildlife inhabitants such as Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Oryx, and Dik-Diks.

Lake Nakuru National Park is world famous for the greatest bird spectacle on earth. In a lush beautiful setting millions of pink flamingos congregate around the alkaline lakes shallow shoreline. Lake Nakuru is the best location for easily photographed white rhino and other common park inhabitants include leopard, warthog, white pelicans, Rothchild’s giraffe, and abundant bird life.

Saving the best for last, we have six full shooting days in the Masai Mara, the crown jewel of our safari. The “Mara” is the northern most extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. The vast plains and scattered acacia trees are home to greatest spectacle on earth. Countless wildlife films including the “Big Cat Diaries” were filmed right in the same locations we visit. The vast openness of the grasslands means the daily life of a wide variety of animals is right out in the open to photograph. Our safari is scheduled to be during the prime zebra and wildebeest migration, one of the wildlife wonders of the world that tops almost every list of safari experiences. Imagine the daily interaction between an estimated 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra, and 400,000 gazelles and the big cats sAuch as cheetah, leopard, and lion.

If you are looking for a photo safari, with only three participants in each vehicle, luxury lodges, all meals, and park entrance fees, outstanding local guides who understand the needs of photographers, and two award winning photographers, then look no further, this is your tour. Adam has previously led 14 highly successful tours to Kenya and Donna has developed a lifelong love of Africa after spending a month there in 2008 and has presented a program on her travels there to many audiences.

Past participants, describe the experience as life changing. Along with the tremendous wildlife photography, the sights, sounds, smells, camaraderie around the campfire, the friendships with our guides, all go into making memories that last a lifetime.

Please Note: This tour sold out in less than a week the last time it was offered!!
