A Trip to The Great Smoky Mountains In Spring I kept hearing that this was the best Spring in a long time in the Great Smoky Mountains. I can't stand to miss out on anything so I headed out with a friend to check it out. I love Springtime in the Smokies. The new Spring green does something to refresh my soul. Throw in some wildflowers and you have the perfect mix of Mother Nature. The water levels were a bit low but what a gorgeous site it was to behold. I have never seen the Dogwoods look more beautiful. I was able to meet up with some good friends who are professional photographers and we had an amazing time photographing everything from Cades Cove to Roaring Fork. We got up each morning at 5:00 a.m. and sometimes didn't return until 11:00 p.m. We were exhausted but had such a great time. It was wonderful to catch up with friends and relish in the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains!
In Bloom, A Photo Essay I was fortunate enough to be published in the April issue of Our State Magazine. Our State Magazine celebrates the people and places that make North Carolina great. From the mountains to the coast, Our State features North Carolina travel, history, folklore and beautiful scenic photography.

New York!!! I spent last weekend in NYC doing a workshop with Bryan Peterson! What a great trip and what a great group we had! It was my first visit to the city and I loved it! Bryan is a wonderful teacher and he really motivates you! He is also one of the most creative photographers I have ever encountered! We spent time at Times Square, Central Park and the Brooklyn Bridge area. My only regret was the time we had was short. I wish we could have photographed for many more days! We came away with some great images and great memories! Be sure and check out the New York Gallery listed under the Travel category!
