Nature's Crown Nature's Best Photography Magazine has selected one of Donna's images as a winner in their annual Backyard Photo Contest and has been published in the Spring edition of the Magazine! This is a quite an honor. The contest entries are judged on technical quality, composition, originality, and artistic merit. The image was taken in the summer of 2007 at the J.C. Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, NC. "This commonly photographed flower presented a challenge for me to find a different composition than is typically seen. I was amazed at how the top of the coneflower bloom looked like a crown. It offered a unique perspective solving my dilemma" Nikon D2X, 105mm macro lens 1/8 sec. at f/32, ISO 100, Gitzo tripod and Really Right Stuff ballhead.
